So this time next week I will be packing my bags to fly back to Boston!!! I can’t wait. This morning I tried to get some coffee from the ONE Dunkin Donuts in Houston, but it was a disaster. I was left coffeeless on a Friday morning – not a good scene.
It has been an exhausting week. Institute is just so intense. It’s not teaching that wears me out. Teaching is the most energized part of my day. It’s everything else. I really can’t believe that I only have five days left with these kids. They’re so funny. Today we were talking about adverbs and I threatened to dance for them. They answered with a “No Miss. Please NO!” They crack me up.
I’ve written all my lesson plans and I am ready for next week, so I think I might go to Austin tomorrow with some of my friends who are heading to the Rio Grande Valley this fall for one last hurrah. First, though, I need sleep. I took a nap after school today and would have slept through the night if my roommate hadn’t woken me up for dinner.
My big news for the day is that I passed the TExES, so I can recieve my certification. I didn’t think I was going to pass, so I was very relieved. And I got a pretty good score, too.
Anyway, sorry this was so short, but things have settled into routine here.
I can’t wait to see you all soon!
